Arrests after man receives serious head injuries in assault north of Grantham

A man has received serious head injuries following an assault north of Grantham.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating the attack and say three men have been arrested.

In a statement issued this afternoon, they said a scene has been identified at Fairfield Yard in Long Bennington and officers are at the location conducting enquiries.

The incident took place yesterday in the late afternoon.

The victim, a man aged in his 40s, is currently in hospital.

Three men, aged 72, 63, 35, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Their statement continued: "We would like to appeal to anyone with any information that could assist with our investigation.

"By calling 101 quoting reference number 456 of 11 August.

"By emailing [email protected] with reference 456 of 11 August in the subject line."

Lincolnshire Police further advised: "If you've been the victim of crime, support is available, whether you have reported the crime to the police or not.
