A glamping site has been proposed for a village north of Grantham.

Dennis Carr of Secret Garden Soirees seeks to have the site in an unused field on Claypole Lane, Dry Doddington.

In his planning application to South Kesteven District Council, Mr Carr who lives in the same street, seeks a camp site with 6 glamping bell tents 5 metres apart on a 775m2 site.

This would be erected from May 1 to September 30 and would accommodate a maximum of 30 people at any one time.

There would also be a hot tub and sauna, plus a 16ft by 8ft security shed for storage. The toilet and washroom facilities would be nearby in the Turnstyle works offices and shared with Turnstyle.

South Kesteven District Council has yet to determine the application.
