Councillors have given the green light to a vet practice to open in a garden centre north of Grantham.

Members of the planning committee of South Kesteven District Council approved a change of use to two empty rooms in the older part of Belton Garden Centre.

As previously reported by Nub News, parish councils in the area feared any extra traffic generated would cause a hazard.

They sought a block on development in the area until safety improvements were made to the nearby A607 into the centre.

But Lincolnshire Councty Council said there was no evidence to justify such concerns.

Without any debate, members all voted to approve the application from Mr S E Baker of Metheringham, Lincoln.
