A motor cyclist has died after a collision near Grantham yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to the B1176 at Bitchfield just after 5.30pm where it is believed two motor cycles, a green Kawasaki and a red Ducati were in collision with a Land Rover Discovery.

One of the motor cyclists, a 70-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other, a 64-year-old man, was airlifted to Queen's Medical Centre with serious injuries.

The road was closed until about 2300 while the investigation was carried out and the road cleared.

Anyone who was in the area and either saw the collision itself or saw any of the vehicles before the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 and quote incident 358 of the 22nd.
