A man who caused a police officer to suffer a cracked skull as she carried out her duties in a Grantham car park yesterday has admitted three charges related to the incident.

Daniel Noddings appeared at a Lincoln Magistrates' Court hearing this morning and pleaded guilty to all three offences.

The 36-year-old of no fixed abode has been remanded into custody. A date for sentencing has not yet been set.

Meanwhile, Lincolnshire Police have given an update on the condition of the police officer who suffered a fractured skull during the hit and run incident outside Sainsbury's.

A spokesman told Nub News: "She remains in hospital and is said to be recovering well."

As previously reported by Nub News, Daniel Nodding was charged with dangerous driving causing injury to a Police Officer, possession of a Class B drug and a further separate charge of dangerous driving- charges he admitted today.

As Nub News also reported yesterday, the female officer was speaking to a man sitting in a black Nissan Juke car at Sainsbury's, Grantham, at around 9.40am yesterday when the car reversed and struck her.

The car was then driven out of the car park, heading south on the A52 and out of the town on Bridge End Road.

The officer sustained head injuries including a fracture to her skull and was taken to hospital. Officers pursued the suspect and arrested Noddings within the hour.
