The first of a series of consultation events concerning planned changes at Grantham hospital will take place in the town centre next week.

As Nub News reported last week, the changes include downgrading the hospital's A&E into an Urgent Treatment Centre.

However, the UTC would be 24/7 as opposed to the restricted hours Grantham A&E currently has.

Now, as part of the consultation process , health chiefs have announced a consultation event will take place in the Jubilee Church Life Centre at 5 London Road on Thursday October 14 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

People wanting to attend are asked to book their place using this link.

A protest is also planned on nearby St Peter's Hill at the same time, as Nub News reported yesterday.
