Grantham: Beer festival at the Lord Harrowby

By The Editor 14th Sep 2021

A popular 'back street boozer' is staging a beer festival next weekend, promising some brews Grantham drinkers haven't tried before.

The Lord Harrowby in Dudley Road, Grantham, is staging the event from Thursday September 23 until Sunday September 26.

Manager Warren Minns told Nub News: "We wanted to continue the tradition of fantastic beer festivals at The Lord Harrowby."

"There will be 18 casks outside and 6 inside including cider. Beers will range from session pales to stouts, with a variety of colour and ABV's in between.

"I guarantee there will be beers that even the most seasoned of beer connoisseurs have never tried."

There will be barbeque food available on Saturday and Sunday and live music from 'The System' (Saturday) and 'Cruel Sister' (Sunday).

Warren and his parents Katrina and Nigel Glover took over the Lord Harrowby earlier this year when John and Lynda Senior chose to retire after nearly 40 years.

Warren said: "The pub has been rather busy since we took over, we believe that's down to the quality of our beer and the friendly, genuine 'local pub' atmosphere we strive to provide."

He added: "We'd like to thank our regular customers for the welcome they've given us and look forward to hosting patrons old and new for what should be a fantastic four days."
