No further deaths from Coronavirus have been reported in Lincolnshire today.

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust confirmed none of its four hospitals, including that at Grantham, has reported any deaths from Coronavirus over the past 24 hours.

However, Public Health England has revealed the total number of cases in the county has increased by a third from 78 to 104.

Nationally, 3,009 new cases were reported this afternoon, bringing the total of confirmed and reported cases to 25,150.

The number of deaths increased by 389 to 1789.

North East Lincolnshire saw its number of confirmed cases increase from 20 to 21.

North Lincolnshire saw its number of confirmed cases increase from 15 to 17. It has suffered three deaths.

Rutland saw its number of cases increase from two to three, with no deaths reported.

Earlier today, Lincolnshire's public health chief has said the next seven days will be important in the fight against coronavirus.

Professor Derek Ward urged people to stay inside this week, whether they show symptoms or not.

It comes as the government's chief scientific advisor Sir Patrick Vallance warned that deaths from COVID-19 will get worse and the country should stay in lockdown until the virus stabilises.

Professor Ward said this week in particular will be "really important" for the county's response to the virus.

"If people did catch the virus at the beginning of last week, they will start to become symptomatic," he said.

"If people stay in, whether they are symptomatic or not, if they can stay in and stay way from others they will kill it and stop the spread."

Professor Ward added that it was important for people to look after their mental health while in isolation, including creating a routine and having conversations with others.
