Coronavirus crisis: No more deaths as Greater Lincolnshire milestone reached

The overall number of coronavirus cases in Greater Lincolnshire passed the 4,000 mark on Tuesday.

There were 24 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed across the region, bringing the total number since the pandemic broke out in the county in March to 4,021.

The government data published on Tuesday evening showed 15 new cases in Lincolnshire, seven in North Lincolnshire and two in North East Lincolnshire.

It means there have been 249 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Greater Lincolnshire in a fortnight.

Nationally, cases increased by 3,105 to 374,228 cases on Tuesday, while deaths increased by 27 to 41,664.

There were no further hospital deaths confirmed for the Greater Lincolnshire regions in NHS figures or the government's own tally, which also includes deaths outside of hospitals or outside the county.

4,021 cases (up 24)

2,928 in Lincolnshire (up 15)

826 in North Lincolnshire (up seven)

267 in North East Lincolnshire (up two)

The 2,928 for Lincolnshire is an increase of 15 from yesterday and an increase of 99 on Friday, the last time Nub News presented a full range of figures.

It represents 384.6 cases per 100,000, which compared to an England average of 573.9 cases per 100,000, based on its total of 323,029 cases reported today.

Elsewhere in the region, Leicester reports 6,240 cases, an increase of 197 since Friday. This gives a rate of 1,761.6 per 100,000 cases, more than four times the Lincolnshire rate.

Leicestershire reports 4092 cases, an increase of 93 on Friday, giving a rate today of 579.5 per 100,000.

Among the districts or lower tier authorities, Melton is up 8 since Friday to 246 (480.4).

Peterborough is up 24 to 1727 (853.9).

Rutland is up three to 123 (308.1).

South Holland is up 12 at 736 (774.6).

South Kesteven is up 2 today to 498, an increase of 21 since Friday. This amounts to 349.7 cases per 100,000.

89 from North Lincolnshire (no change)

34 from North East Lincolnshire (no change)

of which 268 hospital deaths (no change)

144 at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (no change)

4 at Lincolnshire Community Health Service hospitals (no change)

1 at Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust (no change)

119 in Northern Lincolnshire (NLAG) (no change) Nationally the UK has reported 374,228 UK cases and 41,664 deaths.
