The United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust has gone a third day without any further reported coronavirus-related deaths in its hospitals.

According to the latest government statistics, however, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals did see one additional death.

It is the third day in a row where no deaths have been reported in the official figures for Lincolnshire and the fifth time in two weeks.

So far, across Greater Lincolnshire, there have been 284 Coronavirus-related related deaths, 192 of which have been at trusts and care homes within Lincolnshire county.

Across the UK, a further 338 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in UK hospitals to 36,042.

Meanwhile, the number of new confirmed coronavirus cases continues to be low with another two cases confirmed in Lincolnshire yesterday.

Two further cases were also confirmed in Northern Lincolnshire.

On the whole, new cases in the county appear to be staying at a lower rate, with just a few a day – however, there have been some days when numbers have spiked as tests catch up from weekends or bank holidays.

Here is how the figures for Lincolnshire have gone this week:

• May 17: 1040 cases, up four from the previous day

• May 19: 1043 cases, up one from the previous day

• May 20: 1061 cases, up 18 from the previous day

• May 21: 1063 cases, up two from the previous day The latest figure gives Lincolnshire a rate of 140.6 cases per 100,000 of population.
