A contractor has been awarded £680,000 to fit out Grantham's new £2m University Technology and Innovation Centre.

South Kesteven District Council's (SKDC) cabinet voted to employ the services of Lindum Construction Services at a meeting last week.

Greater Lincolnshire Enterprise Partnership is funding the centre, part of the new St Peter's Hill complex which also houses the Savoy Cinema, and told Grantham Nub News in June that the 'forecast completion date' is 30 September.

The capital delivery of the centre is being managed by SKDC's growth and regeneration company InvestSK in partnership with SKDC's property team.

The University of Lincoln will deliver a programme of courses from the centre to meet the needs of local businesses.

InvestSK says professional business services will also be offered at the centre, including start-up advice, growing businesses and business networks, and events and talks will be hosted there.

There will also be the opportunity to use a desk in the centre in the early stages of developing new business ideas.
