South Kesteven District Council's cultural is continuing its support for the creative sector and the promotion of those who live in the district and work in the industry.

Councillor Rosemary Trollope-Bellew, the Cabinet Member for Culture and Visitor Economy, said: "South Kesteven's highly-skilled creative industry is vibrant, diverse and successful but the sector has been hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic.

"Celebrating the talent we have right on our doorstep over the coming months will help support its road to recovery."

"Working in collaboration with Stamford-based Art Pop-Up, SKDC wants to shout about the creatives who call the district their home, so, whether you are a painter, potter, writer, dancer, actor or graphic designer you are welcome to submit an application."

SKDC Arts Project Officer Jo Dobbs said: "We want a representative selection of art practices and a good geographical spread. The selected profiles will form part of our outdoor exhibition of SK Creatives which will take place in Stamford town centre during April and May 2021."

Each profile will include images of work and all submissions, whether chosen or not, will form the beginnings of a directory of the creative sector in South Kesteven.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 19th February. They should be sent to [email protected]

Submissions should include: A photo portrait, preferably taken in their studio or place of work

Two photos of work

A maximum 120 word/650 character biography including job, base, what is created, work themes (subject matter, etc), inspiration

Website and social media details

All photos must be 300dpi and of professional quality – well-lit, without shadow, and in focus.
