Aldi has revealed when work is to start on their new Grantham store.

The move follows the growing discount retail chain receiving planning approval from South Kesteven District in July, as previously reported by Nub News.

An Aldi spokesperson said: "We will begin construction of our new Grantham store at the corner of Harlaxton Road and Trent Road next April and plan to open the store in 2022. This will create up to 10 additional jobs and enable local people to shop and save closer to home."

When SKDC's planning committee approved the project, members praised Aldi for coming up with an improved design for final approval.

The store aims to replace its existing outlet on South Parade.
